I had been wanting to try Stitch Fix for several months now. I finally took the plunge and can give you my honest Stitch Fix review based on my experience from completing my customer profile to receiving my first order.

I had never spent so much money on a single outfit before now. Despite that, I still intend to use Stitch Fix again for buying new clothes.

A Mom’s Guilt

I often feel embarrassed telling someone I take my two year-old daughter to daycare while I stay at home. I feel guilty that I don’t want to be with my daughter all the time. I feel guilty that I pay money to have my daughter away from me 8-9 hours a day, 5 days a week. Do I have a desire to change that? Not at all! But the social stigma makes me feel guilty.

I like having my daughter in daycare and she enjoys being there. I get time to do work that is enjoyable for me and allows me to earn money from home.

Most of the mommy bloggers I follow got their start in blogging because it was something they could do from home, while their kids were home too. Some even homeschool their kids at the same time. Since I am working from home, I could have my daughter home with me, but I choose not to. I take my daughter to daycare so I can work at home, in peace. A Day in the Life of a Blogger

Working at home is hard! There are so many ways to get distracted at home.

  • The cat just coughed up a hair ball.
  • Did the mailman just deliver a check I have been expecting?
  • I really need to Swiffer under the couch.
  • That light bulb just burned out and I have to replace it.
  • My son has an early practice so I need to plan an earlier dinner.

The life of a blogger is often filled with distractions when working at home. Dawn shares how she manages her time to get her blogging work done.

Because of this, I have a few things I do to help me stay focused when working at home.

Auto Post from Facebook to Twitter in Less Than 30 Seconds!

By Dawn Leave a Comment

It is hard to be active on all the major social media sites. You can help yourself out by automating some of your efforts. One way to do that is to auto post from Facebook to Twitter.

Save time on social media by auto posting from Facebook to Twitter in one simple step. Learn how right now.

Twitter has several advantages over Facebook when it comes to social media marketing for your blog.  Twitter does not choose which updates your followers get to see in their Twitter feed.  All of your tweets show up!  This is not the case with a Facebook page where a reach of 2% or less per post is common.

This will be the easiest thing you do today! [Read more…] about Auto Post from Facebook to Twitter in Less Than 30 Seconds!

How I Earned my first $100 Cash from Swagbucks in 10 Weeks

By Dawn Leave a Comment

I started using Swagbucks on Nov. 4, 2013 thanks to a recommendation from a trusted blogger I follow (and here I am spreading the news on). She insisted you could earn cash from Swagbucks with very little work.

I started using Swagbucks thanks to a recommendation from a trusted blogger. She insisted you could earn cash from Swagbucks with very little work.

In my first week (5 days) of playing around with Swagbucks in my spare time, I had the following results:

  • 50 Swagbucks by filling out registration and profile information on my account
  • 75 Swagbucks for using the search engine
  • 24 Swagbucks for viewing special offers, daily poll and using tool bar
  • 10 Swagbucks for liking on Facebook
  • 400 Swagbucks for signing up for Credit Sesame (a free monitoring service similar to Credit Karma)

My total after my first 5 days was 559 Swagbucks.

So, what could I do with 559 Swagbucks?

A $5 gift card to Amazon.com is only 450 Swagbucks. Most other $5 gift cards (including Starbucks, Target and Walmart) cost 500 Swagbucks. So one Swagbuck is essentially equal to one penny. That doesn’t sound like much, but they can really add up and just in your spare time.

What I chose to do with my 559 Swagbucks was save them up until I had 2,500 Swagbucks and could redeem them for a $25 PayPal deposit. That’s right — real cash! [Read more…] about How I Earned my first $100 Cash from Swagbucks in 10 Weeks
